In paintball, a chronograph is a device used to measure the velocity of paintballs fired from a marker, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. It is essential for keeping the game safe, as excessive velocity can lead to injuries or equipment damage. Beyond safety, players use chronographs for teching and tuning their equipment to maintain optimal performance. Most paintball parks set a velocity limit of 285 FPS, while most competitions have a hard limit of 300 FPS.
